Description

Mild oil that contains over 50% polyunsaturated fatty acids. The vitamin E and omega oils it contains help to improve skin tone and prevent free radical damage.

Characteristics

Suitable for sensitive skin but high in fatty acids. Contains 31% linolenic acid, 23% linoleic acid, 17% oleic acid, 11% eicosenoic acid and 8% palmitic acid.

Chemistry

Camelina oil is of high nutrition value due to content of polyunsaturated fatty acids (40–60 %), most of which belongs to the n-3 family: α-linolenic acid (ALA) accounted for 35–40 %. Moreover, camelina oil is known to have a high concentration of tocopherols (751–821 mg kg−1)
