Description

Coenzyme Q (CoQ10) is an enzyme produced naturally in all skin cells for growth and maintenance. We produce less as we get older so a supplement of CoQ10 can help fight the signs of ageing.

Characteristics

CoQ10 can effectively help fight the signs of ageing. The CoQ10 in the treatment can penetrate deeply to provide antioxidants and help create collagen and elastin.

Chemistry

The redox functions of CoQ in cellular energy production and antioxidant protection are based on the ability to exchange two electrons in a redox cycle between ubiquinol (reduced CoQ) and ubiquinone (oxidized CoQ).

Allergy Information

No known allergy information

Sensitivity Information

Suitable for all skin types; particularly effective for older skin.

History

CoQ10 was first discovered by Fredrick L. Crane and colleagues at the University of Wisconsin–Madison Enzyme Institute in 1957.
